The fundamental strenght of Azienda Agricola Grossutti is the long standing family operation. The new generation of Grossutti inherits a well respected name, a wealth of reliability and work organization: a tireless father - Ferruccio, Daria - a mother that is omnipresent between the cellar and the osteria, the three children, Chiara - donna del vino (woman of wine), Daniele - the enologist, and Federico - the Chef, who is proudly part of the Italian Chef Union.

The Grossutti family operates among twelve hectares (29+ acres) of land in the Middle Friuli, an area rich in history marked by the influence of Ancient Rome and Aquileia. The vineyards are in the Grave (pronounced Grah-veh) area of Friuli with its characteristic gravelly soil and medium mixed composition.

Seven hectares (17+ acres) cultivated with red grapes, five hectares (12+ acres) with white grapes and an operative center composed of a cellar,a bottling area, a warehouse and an osteria dedicated to tasting. They've been selling their own wine since the beginning of the last century, in the same rooms, located over the Piazza where the old Town Hall once resided.

   

Those same rooms today have been turned into an osteria with kitchen, that have grown to accommodate groups and associations of gastronomics in their convivial meetings.
